Frequently Asked
Questions
Does permanent makeup hurt?
Many people are afraid to get permanent makeup because they think it is painful. An anesthetic cream containing lidocaine is used throughout the procedure to reduce pain. Some say it doesn't hurt at all.
How will I prepare for my appointment?
For best results:
Two weeks before your appointment, avoid using products such as Retin-A, glycolic acid, and AHA/BHA near the brows.
You must wait to book an appointment two weeks after receiving botox and fillers.
Discontinue Glycolics, Chemical peels & Retin-A 4 weeks prior.
For eyebrow treatments, no brow waxing or tinting one week before the procedure
For eyeliner, do not wear contact lenses during the procedure. Don't forget to bring your glasses. Do not wear
eye makeup.
For lip blush, gently exfoliate your lips the day before your appointment. If you are prone to cold sores,
you should consult your doctor for a prescription to prevent cold sores from appearing on your lips before, during,
and after the procedure.
Avoid: These can increase blood flow and interfere with the healing process
Avoid caffeine for 12 hours before treatment.
Please refrain from alcohol 24 hours before your appointment
Avoid fish oil and vitamin E for 24 hours before your appointment.
Do not take blood thinners (ibuprofen, aspirin, etc.) 72 hours before your appointment.
Is any care required after the procedure?
For best results:
Avoid Retin A, glycolic acid, AHA/BHA, etc., near the treatment area for 2 weeks after treatment.
No facials, botox, fillers, chemical treatments, or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
Avoid submersion in water for 10 days after treatment.
For best results, avoid excessive sweating, sunburn, and sun exposure. Eyebrow waxing, plucking and threading
can be done 2 weeks after your appointment.
Do not wear contact lenses for 48 hours after eyeliner application.
Don't forget to bring your glasses.
Are great results guaranteed?
Since each skin type is different, multiple touch-ups may be required. If multiple touch-ups are required, this will be billed to the customer. Most people get great results on their first appointment and touch-up, but not everyone always does.

All results may vary depending on lifestyle (age, metabolism, medications, sun exposure). Since all skin types differ in texture, dryness and thickness, results cannot be guaranteed.
Who is not suitable for permanent makeup?
• Red or inflamed skin near the procedure area, including sunburn
• Taking blood-thinning medications (will perform service if doctor approves)
• On or have used Accutane within the past year
• Pregnant or breastfeeding
• Undergoing chemo, radiation, or other cancer treatments (must be stopped 6 months before the appointment)
• Have cold sores, acne, eczema, or other skin conditions on or around the area where the tattoo will be

If you have an autoimmune disease, please consult with your doctor before booking your appointment to make sure it is safe for you. Although, many people with autoimmune diseases get tattoos without any severe or negative affect.
What is the healing process?
Swelling and redness may occur, but they will subside within 24 hours after the treatment. There is no downtime after permanent makeup treatment, except for avoiding submersion of water, sun exposure, and exercise for 7-10 days after the treatment. No makeup on the tattooed area for 7-10 days. The tattooed area may look like a patch or scab until it heals completely. A mandatory touch-up will be scheduled 6-8 weeks after to achieve the best results.

Eyebrows:
Eyebrows may appear dark initially. They may become scaly or form a scab during the healing process.
Do not touch or pick, as you run the risk of removing the pigment.
Lips:
Lips will initially appear swollen and dark. Do not pick, as you will remove the implemented pigment from the lip. Over time they become lighter and more uniform. They can dry out and crack to the touch during the healing period.
Eyelash line improvement:
Eyes may swell and tear. Please do not wear contact lenses for 48 hours after booking (bring your glasses). Sunglasses may be worn to help with the sensitivity to glare.
